Jim Hughes, pastor and founder of Miami Valley Christian Center, graduated from World Harvest Bible College in Columbus,
Ohio with a degree in pastoring. After serving in that ministry for seven and a half years under pastor Rod Parsley, Jim and
Jennifer received their pastor's blessing to pioneer a work in Troy, Ohio where they live now with their four children.

Miami Valley Christian Center held its first service on June 21, 1992 in a nine-hundred square foot building with just
a vision and a few family members. After three months, the twenty-eight member congregation moved into a warehouse building
and remained there for the next two years. In 1994 God miraculously placed into the church's hands a twenty-two acre piece
of property with a brand new sanctuary, a family life center, a baseball diamond, and a bass pond.
